Refund policy

Slate, a trading journal · Last changed: 7 October 2026

Draft. This text describes how refunds work today; it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

Slate starts with a free 14-day trial that needs no card, so you can see whether it suits you before you pay anything.

30 days, no questions

If you subscribe and change your mind, ask for a refund within 30 days of a payment and you get that payment back in full. You don’t need to give a reason.

How to ask

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders and handles refunds. Ask at paddle.net: find your order with the email address you paid with. You can also write to us through Settings → Help and feedback in the app, and we’ll arrange it with Paddle.

The money goes back the way you paid. How fast it reaches you depends on your bank or card, usually within 5 to 10 working days.

After 30 days

You can cancel any time in Settings → Manage my plan. The plan then runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for and isn’t charged again. This doesn’t limit any right to a refund that the law gives you.

Your journal

A refund or a cancelled plan never deletes your journal: you can still sign in and download all of it.
